I really tried to like this book, to glean the biblical truth, God’s love and why bad things happen, but could not finish it. I just couldn’t get past the apparent lack of insight by the author of “free will”. God cannot stop your behavior or any person’s. He will bring to your attention via red flags and pangs-of-conscience, but he will not force you to not sin. It seems like she compared her own decisions and actions that lead to her having an affair to her being raped, which was someone forcing their will over hers. Two very different situations. I’m sure this book will help many people, but it was definitely not what I had hoped to read. If you have the mindset that God can stop you from sinning you may find this book helpful. One positive aspect of the book was dealing with guilt and shame, just wish she hadn't compared her free will to make decisions about her actions to someone else’s free will that was harmful to others
